While in search of Eternal City—a kingdom whose inhabitants live forever—a pair of travelers discover that the city they seek lies on the other side of a great chasm and is only accessed by two bridges. However, neither man can agree on which bridge to take because picking the wrong one will end in certain death. The Red Bridge is a full length allegorical tale reminiscent of John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress.
